FULL RELINE OF MASONRY CHIMNEY

Chimney relining replaces damaged or deteriorated flue liners to restore safe and efficient venting. A properly installed liner helps improve performance, protect your home, and reduce the risk of hazardous conditions inside the chimney system.

HOW WE INSTALL SAFE & DURABLE CHIMNEY LINERS

Traditional masonry fireplaces and chimneys are becoming less common due to their high construction costs and ongoing maintenance needs. In areas like Texas and Oklahoma, foundation movement often leads to cracks, gaps, and structural damage within masonry chimney systems.

For homeowners wanting to preserve their open wood-burning fireplace, we often remove the damaged flue tiles and install a properly sized stainless steel liner within the masonry chimney. We then parge and shape a smooth transition chamber above the fireplace to improve airflow and performance.

This process allows you to maintain the appearance and function of a traditional masonry fireplace while creating a safer, more durable system designed for long-term use.

WHAT WE REPAIR:

  • Damaged flue liners

  • Cracked clay tiles

  • Improper venting systems

  • Installation of new liners

SIGNS TO LOOK FOR:

  • Smoke entering home

  • Broken flue tiles (visible during inspection)

  • Strong odors

  • Poor draft

Take a look at this complete chimney relining project we completed for a customer’s masonry fireplace system. Our team removed the damaged flue components and installed a new liner to improve safety, performance, and long-term reliability.

This custom metal chase cover will provide far greater durability and protection than the thin cement crown previously installed. The liner was also extended 2” above the chase cover, allowing water to properly shed off the chimney and helping prevent moisture intrusion.
